California On My Honor: Civics Institute for Teachers
California educators attended the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) Civics Institutes. Participating teachers will review curriculum standards related to civics education; increase knowledge of the role of courts and the operations of courts; experience models of existing K-12 court and law-related education programs, including a visit to a local courthouse and meeting with judges and staff. The educators will use the knowledge they learned to create grade and age appropriate curriculums and teach the legal and civics lessons to students and community members in their neighborhood and surrounding communities.
